Moses and Noah: God determines the weather and climate, Genesis 8:20-22, "20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and took some of every clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 And when the Lord smelled the pleasing aroma, the Lord said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man's heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done. 22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”
Elijah: God
determines the weather and the climate, 1 Kings 18:1, "After many days the
word of the Lord came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, “Go, show yourself
to Ahab, and I will send rain upon the earth.”
Jesus: God
determines the weather and the climate, Matthew 5:44-45, "44 But I say to
you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may
be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil
and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."
Progressive
Churches and many other Christians who would say they are not progressive
today: Man determines the weather and the climate, and we have to change it by
mining vast amounts of minerals to make lithium batteries which are supposedly
far more environmentally friendly than simple gasoline cars which
revolutionized the world and gave everybody a previously unheard of freedom and
prosperity.
Something
has gone wrong.
