The second layer though, is when you realize that we are allies of the evil empire promoting degradation and evil across the world. No nation has the right to rule or invade other nations, and enforce their will on them. All nations which do it, eventually have the same moment as these guys, realizing they have become the evil they sort to fight against.
Germany, at the threat of communism, became an evil fascist force to counter the red terror. The West, with its central power in the U.S., has followed a similar, though prolonged, route and now promotes evil everywhere, by propaganda, soft power and force. To stop evil empires the U.S. took the devil's deal and became the evil Empire
