Busybodies – When Nature Gets Inverted

One day someone is going to do a study that confirms something Paul hints at in the Bible: the higher the proportion of single women in government, the more it will meddle in your life.

“11 But refuse to enroll younger widows, for when their passions draw them away from Christ, they desire to marry 12 and so incur condemnation for having abandoned their former faith. 13 Besides that, they learn to be idlers, going about from house to house, and not only idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying what they should not. 14 So I would have younger widows marry, bear children, manage their households, and give the adversary no occasion for slander. 15 For some have already strayed after Satan.” (1 Tim. 5:11-15).

Women are created to micromanage the home life of their children and grandchildren. This is an important part of how God created them. It is a necessary skill that allows them to create a nurturing environment where their children can learn to be the people that society needs them to be. This takes care, constant oversight, and intentional thought. Mothers need to be involved in the daily lives of their children.

But take these same women out of the home and give them an annual budget, government power, and too much time on their hands? Well, you get the modern West. A society which has governments that meddles in everything. I am predicting that someone will find this correlation sooner or later.
