In a righteous society, where righteousness is uplifted
and exemplified by the leaders of the nation, the society is centred around
honesty and righteousness and therefore the fringes of society are more likely
to be wrong than right, if they oppose that centre.
In a wicked society, where righteousness is shunned,
mocked and unrighteousness is gladly ratified by law, the society is centred
around darkness, injustice and deceit, and therefore the fringes of society are
more likely to be right than wrong, if they oppose that centre.
This is why the Church is more and more on the wrong side
of issues in recent years. It's acting on an outdated model of society being
ruled by a Hezekiah or a Josiah, rather than what it actually is: a society
ruled by Ahab and Jezebel, and Manasseh. Until it recognises this truth it will
continue to get major issues very wrong.
When I shared this comment with some other people a few
noted something which I think should be mentioned: it is not likely that the
Church leadership is capable of changing on this perspective until things have
gotten much worse, and we need to pick up the pieces after some serious
collapse. But, while this may be the most likely way things go, repentance and
revival is only one generation away from a complete turn around. This is what I
hope for.
For now we can say that the reason that so much of the
church seems to falling for the tricks of the globalist elite is they still
foolishly believe that the leaders of our society are on their side. This could
not be further from the truth.
