Zelensky Is Not A Great Leader

I have seen many people on my thread seek to laud Zelensky as some noble leader standing up to bullies. TDS[1] means some people see any opposition to Trump as a net good, zero exceptions. But Zelensky is not a great leader, he is not even a competent one.

He failed a basic test of wisdom or prudence of basic leadership in engaging in this war. I'll let Jesus explain,

"28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? 29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ 31 Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. 33 So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple" (Matt. 14:28-33).

Zelensky never held a winning hand. If he was a great leader he'd have done as Jesus, a great leader, suggested. Any decent king or leader when faced with overwhelming odds knows that the only correct position when you face impossible odds is to beg for peace. Instead, he refused to negotiate and listened to Boris Johnson who told him not to sign a peace deal in 2022. Many leaders have done this in history, and this has caused major wars when it has happened. Instead of seeking to sue for peace, when they knew they could not face the country opposing them, many leaders have sought to get assurance, aid and even military action from other nations or larger nations and have escalated the problem in the process.

And though Zelensky is losing, badly, many westerners still don't want him to sue for peace, because they find it untenable to concede a victory to Russia. They are trying to encourage him to keep fighting a fight he cannot win. Many of them are doing this, because they are afraid of living in a world where they cannot stamp their will on Russia. In other words, they are willing to ask Zelensky to fight, and even to help him to some degree to do it, because they fear for themselves and their clown world order. Such people are not friends of Ukraine, they are simply using Ukraine as their own shield.

Zelensky then compounded his error by insulting the Vice-president under his breath which picked a fight with the US leadership that he also cannot win. Showing he's got a consistent pattern of taking on fights out of his league. On both these counts he failed to heed basic advice given by Jesus in just this kind of situation. It's not noble or wise what he has done.

It is also not surprising that many Church leaders I have observed online cannot see this as clearly as they should. Many of them are on the wrong side of this issue, like they have been on the wrong side of so many in recent years. The best thing about watching clown world fall, is seeing how openly so many Christian leaders were a part of that false kingdom. They are being exposed as quickly as all the other corruption.
