The Greatest Military Ever

I used to believe the US Military was the greatest fighting force on the planet. And on paper, when you evaluate their level of technology and the amount spent on their forces, you could see why people still think this is the case. Add to this all the awesome Military movies that America produces and you can easily see why so many people have this view.

However, an honest review of their efforts over the last 80 years shows, that apart from World War 2, the US Military has struggled to tame even third world farmer armies. From Korea, to Vietnam to Afghanistan, and more, the US Military, despite all its advantages of power and technology have struggled to bring decisive victories for the American Empire.

A common response to this is that, for example, America could have beaten Vietnam, but it was weakened from the inside in their efforts. But people making this argument miss how that statement proves the point; the internal strength of your people is an intrinsic element of successful militaries. The nature of American society prior to World War 2 was far superior than in the 60's and 70's, and even more so again than today.

Take into consideration all of these failures, and note that American society, like ours here in Australia, is highly degraded, and add to this that both countries have strong progressive values weakening their militaries, and you have a recipe for disaster. To compound these existing issues, the US Military has lowered its enlistment standards again:

"After completely bending the knee to woke ideology and gutting itself with unconstitutional mandates that forced an experimental and dangerous vaccine, the US Military is taking the hacksaw to the standards that are used to find and train new recruits as the Armed Forces struggle through what some officials are calling the “most challenging recruiting year ever.”

"In addition to lowering almost every single physical qualification for new recruits to pass their initial training, the US Army has now dropped its requirement that recruits must have a high school diploma or a G.E.D. degree in a desperate effort to attract new blood into the ranks.

In order to be eligible for service, new recruits will simply have to score a 50 on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test and be of eligible age (18 or older), the US Army explained in an announcement on Thursday. Officials for the service blamed a ‘lack of ability and desire’ among young Americans for the recruiting struggles throughout every branch of the military.

As of now, the Army has reached just 40% of its recruitment goal for the fiscal year ending in October. This is on par with the rest of the six branches, which are all projected to fall short of their recruiting goals in 2022."

America struggled to deal with far less than peer enemies, when it's Army was arguably at its peak. How do you think it will go now against a peer competitor?

Australian foreign policy is based entirely on the assumption that America has our back, and will defend our shores, if we tow their foreign policy line. But even if they were intent on fulfilling these stated assurances, are they capable of doing so?

The US Military is the not force it once was. It is no longer the Army of Patton and Eisenhower. It has not fought a peer force for nearly 80 years. Both American and Australian societies are shells of their pre-World War 2 selves. Do you really have confidence that we can dealt with serious threats abroad, when these Westeen armies have become recruiting fields for butch feminists?

We must change our assumptions about our place on the world stage, we are not as strong as we think we are. We are not as supported on our flanks as we think we are.
